The Fred Astaire Dance System:Over the last sixty years our company has developed the most effective dance training system in the world – the Conceptual Method of Teaching, which includes Private Lessons, Group Lessons, and Practice Sessions.
Our staff is thoroughly trained in this method and as a result our students learn faster, progress more quickly, and have more fun. It’s essentially the method employed to teach contestants on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”. It works for the celebrities, and it will work for you! Our Conceptual Training Method includes:
Private Instruction
Private instruction with one or more of our certified teachers gives you the specialized and personalized attention necessary to look and feel great on the dance floor, while developing the ability to lead or follow any partner. This is where you will gain the majority of your knowledge of dance technique and style. Whether you want to brush up on your dancing, learn a dance for your wedding, or train for competitive ballroom competition, your instructor will work with you to develop a program that meets your personal dance goals. The goal is to help you improve your dancing, while having fun. Our professional instructors teach lessons from 12-9pm Monday through Friday and Saturday by appointment. The best way to be introduced to our private lesson system of teaching is our introductory special.
Group Class Instruction
Group lessons are also a necessary part of instruction because this is where patterns, technique and style are learned. Equally important, group lessons provide you with the opportunity to meet other students with similar dancing goals.

Practice Parties
Enjoy our fun and lively Practice Parties every week! Show up ready to dance and mingle at the friendliest dance party in town! Practice Sessions are a great way to practice your leading/following skills with the Fred Astaire pros, and the other students.
